Communication Training and Sign Language Training

1 in 10 Canadians have some form of a hearing loss!

Symmetry Solutions provides information and training about Deaf and hard of hearing people:

- Recruitment and Retention Strategies in the Workplace
- Communication and Cultural Awareness
- American Sign Language

Programs can be taken as stand-alone units or combined. Time, cost and content of each training program to be discussed.

Recruitment and Retention Strategies

Provide insight into best practices for recruiting and retaining a Deaf or hard of hearing employee. Starting with the application process, to appropriate support in the workplace.

Communication and Cultural Awareness

Deaf Culture is the heart of the Deaf Community everywhere in the world. Learn about this unique community, acceptable terms and some basic communication tips to aid everyday conversation.

American Sign Language

Participants will learn:
- ASL finger-spelling alphabet
- Appropriate use of facial expression
- Body Movements and natural gestures
- To exchange personal information
- ASL number system 1-20
